CANNED ART SHOW AT THE DOUBTING THOMAS GALLERY
July 29th 2018
Because many of the artists in Cleveland felt alienated after the Cann Triennial launched this summer, the Doubting Thomas Art Gallery in Tremont decided to launch an art call asking for all of the "rejected artists" in Cleveland whose artwork has been declined from various juried shows this year. Artists dropped off their art in a giant yellow trash can - the kind of humor DT always had.  Although BiasedArt was one of the many rejected artists for the Can Triennial, she was able to participate in the Canned show at DT, and has been a long time patron and artist of the gallery over the past decade. The show was a great success for the many artists whose edgy, unrefined work was accepted into the arms of the Canned show.
Note: the Canned show was a non-juried art show open to the public. "Soul Meets Soul on Lovers Lips" was featured.

Samantha looked at is as an opportunity of personal growth as well as an opportunity to help aide other women in succeeding in the business world. BiasedArt has created a special limited-edition series of fun, eclectic illustrations to compliment the store.Â
With her one new print- Gay Witch - her tongue-in-cheek  statement piece also looked at this as an opportunity to help raise money for her communities LGBTQ center Cleveland LGBTQ partnering with Chris Mcnulty in raising funds to support the center. All proceeds of Gay Witch will go toward the center. This will be BiasedArts first time vending in a store location as a permanent space to sell her art.
