SUN PRINT WORKSHOP

Build Your Skills

Sun prints also known as Cyanotypes are considered to be one of the oldest forms of photography.

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used the process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, referred to as blueprints. The process uses two chemicals: ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide.

This workshop will be teaching the history, mixing, treating, fixing and creating of photograms on cotton paper.

This workshop is brought to you by Cleveland Photo Fest and will be a co-taught workshop with founder of Cleveland Photo Fest Laura D'Alessandro.
